RENA E. STEWART

Rena E. Stewart, daughter of Lewis and Ella Jane Bowers Arnett, was born November 11, 1904 at Milton and departed this life the morning of Wednesday, May 8, 1985 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua at the age of 80.

She graduated from Milton High School and worked as a legal secretary.

On September 3, 1933 she married Ted M. Stewart in Milton. They lived their entire married life on the same farm near Lebanon. Mr. Stewart died in 1969. A sister in childhood and an infant daughter also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne of Milton and Raymond of Beasley, Texas, two grandchildren.

She was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, 1985 at 2 p.m. in the Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Daniel officiating. Interment was in the Lebanon Cemetery. A memorial was established for her church. Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, was in charge of arrangements.
