James A. Rudd

FT. MADISON - James A. Rudd, 69, of 2716 Ave. I, Ft. Madison, died at 2:32 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Ft. Madison Community Hospital.

He was born March 25, 1916, at Ft. Madison, to Hugh and Nellie St. Clair Rudd. He married Nellie Heidbreder on Nov. 12, 1938, at Kahoka, Mo.

He was a retired farmer and also retired from the Santa Fe Railroad where he was a clerk with 30 years of service.

Surviving: His wife; six sons, Gary, Anaheim, Calif., Terry, Mike, Jerry, Jim and Dan, all of Ft. Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Donald "Ila" Hamilton, Ft. Madison; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Bill "Mae" Kerr, Keosauqua; Mrs. Maxine Hulse, Mrs. Jerrydine Sedgwick and Mrs. Jim (Edythe) Hensley, all of Ft. Madison.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, King-Lynk Funeral Home, the Rev. James Bridges; Oakland Cemetery.
