BIRMINGHAM - Carroll "Ted" O. Wade, 69, of Birmingham died at 5:32 p.m. Aug. 10, 2985, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born Oct. 23, 1915, at Centerville to James H. and Myrtle Bills Wade. He grew up in the Fairfield and Birmingham communities. He served with the Navy during World War II and retired from Dexter Co. in Fairfield in 1980. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline, Ill., the Eagles and the VFW.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Holmes of Birmingham and Bernice Countryman of Moline, Ill.; and a brother, James Wade of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, Pastor Terrance Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to the Cancer Fund or the Birmingham Library.
