Arden Abernathy

ELDON - Arden L. Abernathy, 62, of Eldon died Dec. 27, 1985, at his home.

He was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Ottumwa to A.H. and Rata Scott Abernathy. He spent most of his life in Eldon. He was a self-employed truck driver for 30 years, and later worked for Amoco Fertilizer until retiring in 1976. He was a member of Masonic New Hope Lodge 480 and charter member of the Eldon Lions Club. He married Roberta Spees on Oct. 30, 1959.

The service will be at 2p.m. today at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. Chris Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Iowaville Cemetery near Selma.
