BIRMINGHAM - A memorial service for former Birmingham resident Van Dustin, 85, of Venice, Fla., who died there on May 29, 1985, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Birmingham United Methodist Church, the Rev. Duane Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hills Cemetery in Birmingham.
He was born March 18, 1900, in Libertyville to W.W. and B. Baldwin Dustin.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; a daughter, Marianne Hutchison of Durango, Colo.; a stepson, Raymond Cunningham of Oskaloosa; a stepdaughter; two sisters; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The body has been cremated. Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham is in charge of arrangements.
