Mrs. Sneath was born in Morgan County, Ill., Dec. 20, 1838, and died at her home in Bentonsport, Feb. 28, 1916, aged 77 years, 2 months, and 8 days. Funeral services were at Hillsboro on March 1, Rev. Carroll officiating.
In 1856 she was united in marriage with Jas. B. Sneath and to them were born thirteen children, two of whom died in infancy. Surviving are:- Mrs. Vina Runyon, Bentonsport; Mrs. Anna Cotton, and Mrs. Mary Young, Hillsboro; Mrs. Nellie Garmore, Salem; Mrs. Susie Leeper, Noble; Mrs. Lizzie Edwards of Yarmouth; Mrs. Neva Toops, Milton; Mrs. Louise Coolidge of Des Moines, Iowa; and Jas. Sneath of Jetmore, Kansas; Henry Sneath of Denver, Colo;and John Sneath of Davenport, Iowa. Also the husband, one sister, and three brothers, 41 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
