Moline Dispatch (?)Death claimed LeRoy Odell, aged 74 years, at 11:30 yesterday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. C.E.Munson, 2210 Fifth avenue, this city. His passing came after two weeks illness of indigestion.
Mr. Odell came to Moline 18 months ago to reside with his daughter. He was a Civil War veteran, having served with Company B, 3rd Iowa Cavalry, from 1861 to 1865.
He was born Oct.19, 1844, in Hillsboro, Ia. His wife preceeded him in death Dec. 18, 1892. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter, Mrs. C.E. Munson, his son, Joseph Odell, serving with the US Scorpion crew, two brothers, James Odell of Hamilton, Ill., and Scott Odell of Blandinville (?) Ill., and one sister, Mrs. J. Reinhardt of Unionville, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 Wednesday afternoon in the residence of his daughter and interment will be in Riverside cemetary.[He is buried Lot 8, Grave 14 in the Civil War section of Riverside Cemetery, Moline, Illinois]
