Goldie Eschmann

FT. MADISON - Goldie May Eschmann, 80, died Saturday at Ft. Madison Community Hospital.

She was born May 16, 1904, near Mt. Sterling, to William Harry and Prudence Jan Stansbury Cochran. She married George L. Eschmann Jan. 30, 1933, at Memphis, Mo. He died Oct. 24, 1968.

Mrs. Eschmann was a Ft. Madison resident for over 40 years. She was an employee of the IAAP, Scheaffer Pen Co., Woolworth Co., and Sacred Heart Hospital.

She was of the Christian faith. She was a member of Ft. Madison Senior Citizens.

Surviving: Two sons, Gordon D. Eschmann, Dayton, Ohio, and Gayle L. Eschmann, Ringwood, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Geneva May) Hines, Hessmer, La.; two sisters, Mildred McCarty, Burlington, and Nadine Cochran, Ft. Madison.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Barr Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Ben Harding; Eberhardt Cemetery. Memorials to the Iowa Heart Association and the Glaucoma Foundation.
