NORTH ENGLISH - Elizabeth I Clubb, 86, of rural North English died Feb. 21, 1985 at Keokuk County Hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1898 at Delta to Andrew M. and Sarah Ellen Hicklin Clark. She married Peter Clubb on Feb. 9, 1921 in Delta. He died Aug. 27, 1981. She graduated from Delta High School and attended college in Des Moines before teaching in country schools.
She is survived by five daughters, Allegra Cooney of Cedar Rapids, Peggy Derby of Richland, Joan Grimm of Millersburg, Margaret Teeter of Fairfield and Doris Owings of DeWitt; six sons, Russell and Forrest of Sigourney, Roger of Keosauqua, Gordon of Burlington, Larry of Millersburg and Rodney of Williamsburg; and 36 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney, the Rev. Gary Dobbins officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Holm Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
