Clarence Diveley

DOUDS - Clarence O. Diveley, 71, of Douds died at 7;10 p.m. March 24, 1985, at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

He was born June 29, 1913, in Wapello County to Clinton and Leora Hull Diveley. A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he moved to Douds four years ago. He was an employee of John Morrell & Co. for 25 years. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Assoc. He married Vivian Veatch on March 29, 1935.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Roberta Cole of Ottumwa, and Rosaline Spalla of Fairfield; four sons, Ronald, Raymond, Roger and Robert, all of Ottumwa; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Agatha Yates of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Gerald Dunham of the First Church of the Open Bible officiating. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery near Floris. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m. this evening.

A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association.
