VERL L. SWARTOUT

Verl L. Swartout, 74, died at 9 p.m. Friday, March 8, 1985 at the Parkview Care Center, Fairfield.

He was born August 14, 1910, near Reynolds, Illinois to Arthur and Lulu Lemon Swartout. He married Vera Heckenberg, June 13, 1936, in Fairfield.

He was a farmer before his retirement. He was a Fairfield community resident for 21 years. Before he moved to Fairfield, he was a resident of the Harrisburg Community, near Bonaparte. He was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church.

Surviving: his wife.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 1985 at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wolf officiating. Burial was Vale Cemetery, east of Harrisburg. Memorials have been established for the Harrisburg Baptist Church or to multiple sclerosis.
