Alta L. Sickles

Funeral services for Alta L. Sickles, 75, a resident of the Fort Madison Nursing Care Center, formerly of 1903 Avenue O, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic church.

The Rev. Robert Amborn will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mrs. Sickles died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the nursing care center.

She was born Oct. 18, 1910, at Farmington. She was a member of Sacred Heart church and a pasts member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

On Jan. 11, 1958, in Fort Madison, she was married to William Earl Sickles, who died June 20, 1985.

Surviving are a step daughter, Mrs. Debbie Cramblit, Fort Madison; a sister, Edythe DeRosear, Fort Madison; two half brothers, Dick Younk, Lincoln, Neb., and Wade Baxter, Alexandria, Mo.; three grandchildren and a step grandchild.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters. Her parents were John and Emoline Cross Wilson.

The body is at the King-Lynk Funeral Home where friends may call until time of the service.

A memorial is being established. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
