George J. Bennett

George J. Bennett, 74, of Scott City, Kansas, died January 30 1985 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

He was born June 5, 1910 in Bonaparte, Iowa. His parents were Minor J. and Elsie Catherine (Schrepfer) Bennett.

On September 16, 1921 at Garden City, he married Mary Ellen Fenton. She died June 25, 1983.

Mr. Bennett was a retired farmer. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Dighton.

Survivors include five sons: Ralph, Paducok, Ky.; Harold, Scott City and Robert, James and Terry of Healy; four daughters: Mrs. John (Joyce) Blau, Scott City; Mrs. Laverne (Marjorie) Bennett, Blair, Nebr.; Mrs. Don (Catherine) Greig, Modoc, and Mrs. Jess (Mary Elaine) Wiebe, Pittsburg, Kansas; two brothers, Sylvester Bennett, Otis Oregen(err); and Wilbert Lee Bennett, Tribune, Kansas; three sisters, Alice Geeseka and Elsie Weisenberger, Scott City and Dehlia Woodrick, Burlington, Colorado; 29 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
