IRENE WOODRUM

Irene R. Woodrum, daughter of William and Ogda Johnson Carlson, was born October 28, 1917 at Oakville, Iowa and departed this life Thursday, March 28, 1985 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 67.

On May 28, 1936 she married Roy Woodrum in Oakville. They operated Lathrop Bag Co. in Fairfield for a number of years and she later was employed by the Fairfield School District. The past seven years, they lived in Keosauqua.

Surviving are her husband, Roy; three sons, Larry of Keosauqua, Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Ronald of Alpine, California; a daughter, Colleen Kisling of Keosauqua; three grandchildren, and a sister, Anna Jennings of Burlington. Preceding her in death were and infant daughter, Karen Ann, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, 1985 at 11 a.m. in Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. John DeMain of Fairfield officiating. Interment was in Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua. A memorial was established for the cancer fund.
