Stanley Foster

Stanley E. Foster, 57, 1033 W. Second Street, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1985 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born Sept. 13, 1927 in Omaha, Neb. to Donald and Helen Baker Foster.

A resident of Ottumwa for 26 years he was employed as a printer for that period of time at the Mercer Printing Co.

He served with the Navy in World War II and was a member of the Travelers Protective Association.

He married Willadeane M. Whalen on May 10, 1960.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Helen Garn, Steamboat Rock; one daughter, Carol Villicana, Brookfield, Mo.; one son, Gordon W. Bittle, jr., Selma; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Neil Guy will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Eddyville.

The Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
