Vera Mingus

Vera Mingus, 86, formerly of Ottumwa and a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, died there on Monday, Feb. 18, 1985.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1898 in Davis County to Edwin and Mary Jane Wolfe Dellinger. Mrs. Dellinger was a former resident of Milton.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salt Lake City. She married David Melvin Mingus. He died in June 1955.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Meryle Hyde of Salt Lake City and Bleva Jean Herandez of Los Angeles, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Maxine Meeker of Paradise, Calif.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Salt City on Feb. 22, 1985. The body was cremated.
