George Leslie Nason

George Leslie Nason, son of Bertram F. and Idella Shaffer Nason, was born May 31, 1917 at Douds and departed this life the morning of Thursday, February 28, 1985 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Knoxville, at the age of 67. He graduated from Douds High School and had been a trucker. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda DeGroot and Barbara Gilliland both of Lees Summit, Missouri, a son, Paul of Harper, Iowa, a sister, Vera Cowell, Queen City, Missouri, other relatives and friends.

The service was held Saturday, March 2, 1985 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Rev. Walter Shuka officiating. Interment was in Leando Cemetery.
