Services for Elva DeLashmutt

MT. PLEASANT - Elva DeLashmutt, 76, rural Mt. Pleasant, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at Henry County Health Center.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Glen Richards officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Cantril Cemetery, Cantril. Friends may call as they desire after 10 a.m. Sunday and the family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. that day.

Mrs. DeLashmutt was born July 16, 1908 at Cantril, the daughter of Lawson and Etta Mae Hull Roberts. In 19 33, she married Robert DeLashmutt. A retired schoolteacher, she had taught for 39 years, first in the Douds, Libertyville and Keosauqua communities, and for the last 20 years at Davenport. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Iowa and the National Teachers Association.

Surviving are a son, Robert L. Rural Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
