Jakey E. Vestal

Jakey E. Vestal, 55, Green Acres Mobile Court, died while visiting ha son in Canton, Texas, Saturday, April 6.

He was born at Cincinnati, Iowa, Oct. 28, 1929, to Jacob and Sylvia Vestal. He married Florence Gibbs Jan. 17, 1968, at Biggsville, Ill.

Mr. Vestal had been employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. He was a member of the Church of the Open Bible.

Surviving: His wife; Two sons, Steve, Canton, and Timmy, Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Sandra Vestal, Tulsa, and Brenda Cogley, Belton, Texas; three step-sons, Dennis, Randy, and Darryl Russell, all of Burlington; three stepdaughters, Vicki Gahn, Sandra Kimmel, and Sheila Thompson, all of Burlington; two brothers, Howard and Walter Vestal, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Colleen Morrow, Mountain View, Mo., Thelma Landgribe, Newton, and Dorothy Gilbert, Farmington; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grand-child.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Keith Canfield; Edwards Cemetery at Oakville. A memorial has been established at the Lunning Chapel.
