ALBIA - Leona Summers, 75, of Albia died March 21, 1985, at her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1909, to Jim and Cordellia Keys Martin. She married Charlie Summers on March 12, 1929, at Albia. She and her husband farmed south of Albia. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Albia.
She is survived by her husband; two daughter, Doris Johnson of Albia, and Noreen Scott of Farmington; a son, Donald of Albia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Art Martin of Albia; and two sisters, Virginia Kosman of Des Moines, and Gladys LaMar of Burlington.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Albia, David Stout and Al Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery in Aliba(Albia).
A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
Humeston-Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
