Fred Russell

CARTHAGE, Ill. - Fred M. Russell, 64, died Sunday, Feb. ?7, in the Culvertson Hospital, Rushville, Ill.

He was born Nov. 29, 1920, at Maxburg, Iowa, to John and Mattie a. York Russell. He married Mary Cecelia Tanner Aug. 31, 1966, at Carthage.

He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was employed for eight years in Keosauqua Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua. He also worked as a machine operator at Anchor Metals, Ft. Madison.

He was a member of CCC, department of conservation of state and federal governments.

Surviving: His wife; one son, John, at home; one daughter, Michelle, also at home; one brother, William, Minolnk, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Corienne) Bowman, Beardstown, Ill., Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret) Hankins, Jacksonville, Ill., Mrs. Lilliam Lawrence, Ridgefarm, Ill., and Mrs. Donald (Ethel) Kester, Danville, Ill.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Lamporte Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ill., Reverend Charles Harris; Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage. A memorial has been established.
