Effa K. Shaklee

NEW LONDON - Mrs. Effa K. Shaklee, 97, New London Care Center, died there Thursday, Jan. 24. She was a long-time resident of Stockport.

She was born Nov. 15, 1887, in Kansas, to Luther and Manza Keneson Reed. She married Warren T. Shaklee June 6, 1922, at Perry, Okla.; he died Aug. 21, 1962.

Mrs. Shaklee taught in elementary schools in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa. She was a member of Cedar Christian Church of Stockport.

Surviving: A son, Paul H., Hwy 61 South; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at the Elliott Chapel in New London, the Rev. Rodney Cooper; Spencer Cemetery at Stockport. A memorial has been established.
