JOHN W. CAVITT

A memorial service for John W. Cavitt was held January 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Tracy, California.

Mr. Cavitt, 63, was a native of Keosauqua and died at Stanford Hospital, January 10, 1985 after a long illness.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two sons, Harold of Anchorage, Alaska and David of Churgiok, Alaska; a daughter, Patricia Astrom of Reno, Nevada; his mother, Clara Williams of Stockton, California.

John Cavitt

John Cavitt of Tracy, Calif., former Keosauqua resident, died on Jan. 10, 1985.

He was a graduate of Keosauqua High School, class of 1939.

He moved to California with his mother, and finished college there.

He served as principal in the school at Tracy for many years, and had since retired.

Remaining are his wife, two sons, one daughter, and his mother Clara Roush Cavitt of California.

Cavitt had been in surgery for his back, and had a lung tumor, it is reported.

Memorial services were held in California on Saturday, Jan. 12, 1985.
