EMIL SMITH

Emil F. Smith, 90, of Luray, Missouri died Thursday, January 24, 1985 at 10:20 a.m. at Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, Indiana.

The son of Alexander and Minnie Hopp Smith, he was born in Clark County, Missouri, on June 20, 1894. He married Ethel Coffin on October 31, 1920 and she prededed(err) him in death on August 25, 1969.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Smith of rural Farmington, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Naomi) Weaver of Goshen, Indiana; one brother, George L. Smith of Kahoka, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, John and Clyde, and two sisters, Mabel Smith and Myrtle Glasscock.

Smith attended the Luray Baptist Church, was a retired farmer and World War I veteran and for the past four years had made his home with his daughter in Goshen, Indiana.

Services were held Monday, January 28 at 2 p.m. at Shaffer and Sons Chapel with Rev. Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in Christy Cemetery at Acasto, Missouri.
