Max N. Morris

KEOSAUQUA - Max N. Morris, 65, died of cancer at Van Buren County Hospital at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22.

He was born Aug. 19, 1919, in Cedar Township, Van Buren County, to T.D. and Ella Brown Morris. He married Betty Hoaglin Nov. 28, 1940, at Kahoka, Mo.

Mr. Morris lived at Stockport and Fairfield and, since 1964, at Keosauqua. He was employed by Rockwell International, Fairfield, for 19 years.

Suviving: His wife; five daughters, Beverly Pacheco, Roseville, Calif., Patricia Ritter-Waltrup, Marlboro, Mass., Elizabeth Martin, Phoenix, Ariz., Ramona Ritchhart, Owasso, Okla., and Irma Lewis, Adel; three sons, Robert, Riyahd, Saudi Arabia, Raymond, Bonaparte, and Virgil, Keosauqua; four sisters, Maxine Shagsta, Urbana, Mo., Buena Hendricks, Buffalo, Mo., and Esther Keller and Verna Dodds, both of Fairfield; and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Patterson; Fellows Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Iowa Lions Sight and Hearing Library Trust Fund, and Keosauqua Christian Church.
