Lena Walker

BLOOMFIELD - Lena B. Walker, 83, of Bloomfield died at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 9, 1985, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born March 28, 1901, at Keosauqua, to Archie and Mamie Pearson Sherman. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Degree Honor. She married Fred Walker on Aug. 20, 1918, at Mt. Pleasant. He died in May of 1969.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Jones of New Port Richey, Fla. and Marilyn Stewart of Villanova, Penn.; a stepdaughter, Venus Blankenship of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Nellie Diers of Macomb, Ill., Dorothy Norton of Mt. Pleasant and Virginia Winter of Peoria, Ill.; and a brother, Ralph Sherman of Stronghurst, Ill.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Priester Fueral(err) Chapel, the Rev. A.D. Pringle officiating. Burial will bein IOOF Cemetery.

Visitation is 7-8 p.m. Wednesday.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
