Rollem Randeel dies at 100

KEOSAUQUA - Rollem R. Randeel, 100, formerly of Keosauqua, died at 5 a.m. today at the Scotland County Nursing Home in Memphis, Mo.

Services for Randeel will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Graveside services and burial will be at noon Saturday at the Stronghurst Cemetery, Stronghurst, Ill.

Randeel was born Oct. 26, 1883 in Corning, the son of Allen and Olive Bainter Randeel. On Oct. 12, 1910 he married Lou A. Paschel in Bloomfield. She died Nov. 17, 1983.

He and his wife farmed in Lee County, Ia. and Henderson County, Ill. They retired to Stronghurst, Ill. and moved to Keosauqua in 1978. they entered the Scotland County Nursing Home Nov. 29, 1982. Randeel was a member of the Stronghurst United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his neices and nephews. Memorials to his church or memorials of donor's choice may be left at the Pedrick Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after noon Friday.
