Charles Lee Carr

BATAVIA - Charles Lee Carr, 74, died at 7 a.m. Dec. 15, 1984, at his home near Batavia. He had been ill for several weeks.

He was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Appanoose County to the Rev. and Mrs. Glen Carr. He married Vivian Morley Nov. 25, 1931, in Batavia. He farmed south of Batavia most of his life and was a member of the Libertyville Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Kenneth and Charles Carr of Batavia, Wendell Carr of Milwaukee, Wis., and Steven Carr of Nekoosa, Wis.; two daughters, Martha Goemaat of Birmingham and Vera Denney of Batavia; a brother, Wayne Carr of Sebring, Fla.; a sister Mildred Phillips of Lakeland, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A private family service is pending. Burial will be at the Brethren Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Faith Christian Academy in Fairfield.
