Ruth LeGrande

Ruth Elizabeth LeGrande, 90, of Sunnyslope Care Center, E. Steller Ave., died at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 10, 1984, at the center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1894, in Van Buren County, the daughter of Grant L. and Sara Salter Weir. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a retired secretary from Haw Hardware. She married Herbert Clinton LeGrande Oct. 2, 1925, in Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Jan. 21, 1968.

She is survived by one daughter, June Gruver of Acola, Fla., and a brother, Jay Weir of Ottumwa.

Ruth Elizabeth LeGrand, 90, died at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 10, 1984, at Sunnyslope Care Center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1894, in Van Buren County.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. today at the Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. Neil Guy officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
