LOLA A. JOHNSTON

Lola A. Johnston, 96, daughter of Eugene and Zanana Nelson Barnes was born in Bowie, Texas on May 20, 1888 and died Tuesday night, August 21, 1984 at the St. Anthony Convalescent Home in Carroll, Iowa where she had resided for nine and a half years.

She was married to Floyd F. Johnston on November 13, 1907 at Stockport, where they made their home for a number of years. He preceded her in death in May, 1975.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Mildred) Lane of Carroll, Iowa; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Friday, August 24, 1984 at the Stockport Methodist Church with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of arrangements.
