Dorothy B. Gillmore

Dorothy B. Gillmore, 67, of Davenport, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 1984 at 7:39 p.m. in St. Lukes Hospital in Davenport.

She was born Aug. 9, 1917 in Clinton County, Iowa, to Rudy and Della Hesse Meier.

She married Harold E. Gillmore on June 4, 1937 at Dubuque.

She had been a housekeeper at Scott Community College in Davenport.

Survivors include: her stepmother, Berniece Meier of Davenport; a daughter, Bonnie Kessler of Camano Island, Washington; and two sons, John Gillmore of Hawthorne, Calif. and Bruce Gillmore of Davenport; one sister Celesta Compton of Davenport; and a half-sister and a half-brother, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The funeral was held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. The Rev. James Rozendaal officiated. Burial was in the Croton Cemetery at Croton.
