Genevieve I. Randall

Genevieve I. Randall, 74, of Farmington, died Saturday, June 9, 1984 at 3:25 p.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

Born Aug. 20, 1909 at Ottumwa, she was the daughter of William and Viola Esslinger McKenna.

She married George Kopetsky Aug. 10, 1925 at Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death. She married Frank Randall Oct. 8, 1980 and moved to Farmington from Cedar Rapids in 1980.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church at Marion, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband Frank Randall of Farmington; two sons, George Kopetsky of Marion and James Kopetsky of Raymore, Mo.; five daughters - Dorothy Kopetsky of Marion, Marcella Jensen of Buena Vista, Colo., Doris Moore of Costa Mesa, Calif., Patty Kopetsky of Marion, Mary Boxey of Cedar Rapids; seven step-children; one sister, Blanche Hilley of Springdale, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, one brother, and three sisters.

The funeral was held Tuesday, June 12, 1984 at 2 p.m. at the Sharon Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Donald Haas officiated. Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery. The Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson was in charge of arrangements. Memorials to the Sharon Church may be left at the Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson.

FARMINGTON - Genevieve I. Randall, 74, Farmington, died Saturday, June 9, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 20, 1909, in Ottumwa to William and Viola Esslinger McKenna. She married George Kopetsky on Aug. 10, 1925, in Cedar Rapids. He died and she married Frank Randall on Oct. 8, 1980. She moved to Farmington from Cedar Rapids in 1980.

Surviving: her husband; two sons, George Kopetsky, Raymore, Mo.; five daughters, Dorothy Kopetsky, Marion, Marcella Jensen, Buena Vista, Col., Doris Moore, Costa Mesa, Calif., Patty Kopetsky, Marion, and Mary Broxey, Cedar Rapids; seven stepchildren; one sister, Blanche Hilley, Springfield, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Sharon Presbyterian Church, Farmington. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery, the Rev. Ronald Haas. A memorial has been established for the Sharon Church. Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson, is in charge.
