J.C. WEAVER

Services for J.C. Weaver, 84, of Kahoka, Mo., who died Friday evening in the Montrose Health Center, were held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home at Kahoka with the Revs Ray Mixer and Dwight Borden officiating. Burial was in the Anson Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Anson Community Church.

Born March 16, 896, in Clark County, he was the son of Edson L. and Mary Nixon Weaver.

A member of the Peaksville Christian Church, he married Marcial Edlin, who died in 1919. He married Oletha Gares in 1920 at Kahoka, who died in 1930. He married Amelia Kirchner in 1932 at Kahoka and she survives.

A retired Clark County farmer, he served on a number of county committees and boards.

Survivors include his wife Amelia; sons Harley of Farmington and Clark of Kahoka; daughter Mrs. Garnett Rider of Donnellson; brother Robert Weaver of Memphis, Mo.; half-sister, Emma Bridgman of Keokuk; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, son, brother and sister.
