Martha L. Forman

Martha L. Forman, died on May 18, 1984 at the Mayflower Home in Grinnell, Iowa, two days before her 97th birthday. She was born on May 20, 1887 to Andrew J. and Lydia Leffler on the home farm, located four and a half miles south of Stockport. She attended high school in Bonaparte and attended Iowa State College.

She married Lee W. Forman, who was on the agronomy faculty at Iowa State until his death in 1939.

During the 1950's, Martha and her sister, Irene Wells, lived with their brother, George Leffler, on the home farm.

All three moved to the Mayflower Home in Grinnell in 1959.

Martha was a member of the P.E.O. and the D.A.R.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, Rex, George, John, Bob, Irene L. Wells, Mary L. Nelson, Elizabeth Leffler and one son, Loven V. Forman.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Gail Mack of Baltimore, Md., and one son, Wallace R. Forman of St. Paul, Minn., seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Mayflower Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 22, and burial was at the Ames Memorial Cemetery.
