Sara B. Workman

Mrs. Sara B. Workman, 79, of 2702 Ave J, Fort Madison, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 1984, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1904, at Keosauqua to John and Ada Carruthers Else. She married Joseph P. Workman on March 29, 1922, at Keosauqua.

She was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Ada Wehrwein, LaBelle, Fla., Mrs. A.O. (Josephine) Jedlicka, Mrs. Harold (Catherine) Mehl, and Mrs. L.E. (Jean) Huff, all of Fort Madison; brother, Harold Else, Keosauqua; sister, Mrs. Letha Schreck, Cedar Rapids, six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Barr Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Myron Brockmeyer. Oakland Cemetery was the place of burial. A memorial has been established for the Iowa chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
