Rollen R. Randell

Rollen R. Randell, son of Allen and Olive Bainter Randell, was born Oct. 26, 1883 at Corning, Iowa and died early Thursday, April 5, 1984 at Scotland County Nursing Home in Memphis, Mo. at the age of 100.

On Oct. 12, 1910 he married Lou A. Paschel at Bloomfield. They farmed in Lee County, Iowa and Henderson County, Ill., retired to Stronghurst, Ill., and moved to Country Lane Apartments in Keosauqua in 1978. They entered the nursing home Nov. 29, 1982, Mrs. Randell died Nov. 17, 1983.

Mr. Randell was the last surviving member of his family, having been preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

He was a member of the Stronghurst United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, 1984 at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Rev. Louise Spears officiating. Graveside services and interment were in Stronghurst Cemetery, Stronghurst, Ill., with Dr. Oliver Zivney officiating. A memorial was established for his church or donor's choice.
