George E. Carson

George E. Carson, 66, of 522 W. 1st Ave., Milan, Ill., died on Friday, Nov. 30, 1984 at Americana Healthcare Center, Davenport.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Larson Funeral Home, Milan, Ill., and burial was in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military rites performed by the American Legion Post No. 569.

Memorials may be made to Milan American Legion Post No. 569, of which he was a member.

Mr. Carson was born June 17, 1918 in Douds. He married Geneva Price on June 8, 1940 in Ottumwa.

He was a former supervisor with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island from 1966-67.

He was a former member of Douds, Iowa Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife; one son, William of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Marie Ruggirello of Staten Island, New York; and three Reg 13 Dec 1984.
