GUY SMART

Funeral services for Guy H. Smart, 79, of Lompoc, California were held at 2 p.m. January 11, 1984 at the Hays and Lindley Lompoc Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Batty officiating.

Burial was in Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Lompoc Lodge 262 of the Free and Accepted Masons officiating. Arrangements were handled by Hays and Lindley Lompoc Funeral Home.

Mr. Smart died Sunday, January 8, 1984 at the Lompoc Convalescent and Residential Care Center.

He was born on September 27, 1904 in Van Buren County, Iowa and came to Lompoc 27 years ago.

Mr. Smart owned an auto agency in Iowa.

Prior to his retirement locally, he worked in the parts department at Sunset Chevrolet.

Mr. Smart was a coin appraiser and dealer.

He was a member of the Belmont Lodge 541 of the AF & AM Masons in Hillsboro, Iowa, where he was master in 1954.

Locally he was a member of the Miguelito Chapter 176 of the Order of Eastern Star, the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 557 of Lompoc.

Among his survivors is his wife, Phyllis of Lompoc.
