COLONEL ENTLER SMITH

Retired Colonel Ernest Entler Smith, died February 9, 1984 at his home in Pebble Beach, California. He was born April 29, 1905 in Bonaparte, the son of Albert A. (Bert) and Myrtle Entler Smith. His father was the founder of the Bonaparte Record. A career Army officer, he was commissioned in 1929 and on his retirement in 1959 moved to Pebble Beach. He is survived by his wife Ruth, and one sister, Helen Scanlin of Orange, California.

Services were held at the El Estero Chapel of the Mission Mortuary. After cremation at the Monterey City Cemetery, the ashes were scattered at sea.
