VERA O. GRAY

Vera O. Gray, 85, was born the eldest of five daughters of John and Elsie Washburn Kutcher on June 9, 1898, in Kahoka, Clark County, Missouri.

During her childhood years, the family moved to Farmington where her father owned and operated the Kutcher General Merchandise store.

She married Furn Gray September 22, 1920. He passed away August 11, 1958. They had two sons, Lloyd of Keosauqua and Robert of Akeny.

Furn and Vera joined the Baptist Church in Farmington on April 15, 1928, where she was an active member until moving to Keosauqua in 1962 to be near her son Lloyd and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Ruth, June, Edna, Chloe and Minnie Jo. She is survived by her sons, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 10, 1983, at 10:30 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with James Watson officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
