GEORGE H. WATSON

George H. Watson, 77, West Burlington, died Friday, October 7, 1983 at Burlington Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1906 in Van Buren County to William and Lida Klise Watson. He married Edith Rings in Donnellson on May 10, 1933.

Mr. Watson worked for the CB&Q railroad and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Des Moines Lodge #1 AF&AM and the Fort Madison Eagles Lodge #1287.

Surviving: his wife; two daughters, Donna Richardson, Burlington, and Sandy Wilkins, Burlington; two sisters, June Doser, Long Beach, California and Stella Taeger, West Burlington; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 10, 1983, at 10:30 a.m. at Lunning Chapel with Rev. Arthur Campney officiating. Burial was in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
