HUGH R. LOGAN

Hugh R. Logan, 77, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, September 28, at 4:45 p.m. at home. Death was unexpected.

Born June 19, 1906 at Hillsboro, he was the son of Harry C. and Gertrude Moxley Logan.

He married Beatrice Isaacson on May 15, 1935 at Fairfield.

He was a farmer and lived in Hillsboro his entire life.

A member of the Big Mound United Methodist church, at the time of his death he served as financial secretary on the administration board of the church.

Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; one son, Gary Logan of Mendon, Missouri; one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Marilyn) Adkisson of Donnellson; one sister, Mrs. Mae Decker of Stockport; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

The funeral was held at the Big Mound Methodist church on Saturday, October 1, 1983 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Sharon cemetery. The Rev. James Rozendaal officiated.

The Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson was in charge of arrangements. Memorials were established for the Big Mound United Methodist church.
