ETHEL G. GROSSMAN

Ethel G. Grossman, 96, of Farmington, died Monday, September 5, at 2:15 p.m. at the Donnellson Manor Care Center.

Born July 25, 1887 in Lee County, Iowa, she was the daughter of Joseph and Charlotte Corey Goody.

She married Charles Grossman, September 12, 1906 in Fort Madison.

Mrs. Grossman lived on the same farm near Farmington nearly 70 years. She was a member of the Sharon United Presbyterian Church and the United Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by three sons: Joseph Grossman of Argyle,
Forrest Grossman of Santa Ana, California and Paul Grossman of Farmington; one daughter, Mrs. Erma Folker of Farmington; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one son, one grandson, one brother, and one sister.

The funeral will be Friday, September 9, at 10 a.m. in the Sharon Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Sharon cemetery, rural Farmington. The Rev. Kenneth Harden will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. A memorial fund to the Sharon Church library has been established. Contributions may be left at the funeral home. Friends may call after noon on Wednesday.
