MRS. CAROL SUMMERS

Mrs. Carol Summers, 53, of Farmington, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 1983 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Mrs. Summers was born August 1, 1930, at Alden, Iowa. She moved to Farmington from Mt. Pleasant in 1979. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Farmington.

She was married to Louis Block, Walter Schmeling and Wendell Summers.

She is survived by three sons, Danny Block of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Doug Block of Laverne, Iowa, and Walter Schmeling, Jr. of Cylinder, Iowa; seven daughters, Mrs. Allan (Paula) Anthony of Farmington, Mrs. Phyllis Sjorgen of Littleton, Colorado, Diane Schmeling of Dunlap, Donna Schmeling of Cylinder, Mrs. Kevin (Neola) Bruhn of Fenton, and Theresa Summers of Vista, California; two sisters, Mrs. James (Janet) Block of Rolfe, Iowa and Mrs. William (Charlene) Guderian of Vista, California; her grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Eggleston of Wesley, Iowa and six grandchildren.

Her parents were Arthur and Neola Eggleston Henry.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 1, in the Church of the Nazarene in Farmington with the Revs. Curt DeLong and Duane Potter officiating.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Farmington Church of the Nazarene for Carol Summers, 53, who died Monday, August 29. The Reverends Curt DeLong and Duane Potter will officiate.
