Elva Noel Price

Louisburg, N.C. - Elva N. Price, daughter of Cynthia Parker Noel and Phillip Noel, was born Nov. 16, 1892 in Davis County, Iowa and died July 22, 1983 in Durhon General Hospital, N.C. at the age of 90.

She married Earl D. Price on Dec. 12, 1917 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She lived most of her life in the Douds community. In December 1977 they moved to Louisburg, N.C., where they lived with their son, Leonard A. Price.

Remaining are her husband, Earl Price of Louisburg; one daughter, Geneva Carson of Milan, Ill.; one son, Leonard A. Price of Louisburg, N.C.; two grandsons, Bill Carson of Nome, Alaska, Allen D. Price of Norfolk, Va.; one granddaughter, Marie Ruggerillo of Staten Island, N.Y. and four great grandchildren.

As a devoted mother and wife and grandmother, she was always willing to lend a hand in the time of need and took care of her own.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 24, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home in Louisburg, N.C. with Rev. John A. Mallura of the Norfolk Gospel Assembly Church officiating. Assisting Mr. Mallura was Rev. Marvin N. Huff of Gospel Assembly Church of Justice, N.C. Interment was in the Allen Cemetery, Louisburg, N.C.
