GEORGE ELLIOTT

Services for George E. Elliott, 62, rural Farmington, who died at his home August 27, 1983, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, at Shaffer and Son Funeral Home, Kahoka, Missouri, with the Rev. Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Anson, Missouri Community Church or the American Cancer Society.

Elliot was born June 14, 1921, in Knox County, Missouri, the son of Loren F. and Isabelle Roberts Elliott.

He married Margaret Yates December 24, 1942 in Memphis, Missouri. They lived and farmed in the Anson, Missouri area.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Terry of San Jose, California, Jim of Revere, Missouri, and Richard of Carson, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Stewart of Revere, Missouri; five sisters, Mrs. JoLee McCumber of Madera, California, Mrs. Bessie Willis of Chelan, Washington, Mrs. Nellie Howe of Kirksville, Missouri, Mrs. Leota Wayman of Greentop, Missouri, and Mrs. Alice Gore of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
