Dr. Paul Irvine, 69, Highland Park, Illinois and a former resident of Birmingham, died August 13, 1983, at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Illinois.

He was an opthamologist in hospitals in the Highland Park and Lake Forest communities. He graduated from the Birmingham High School and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He served with the United States Navy during World War II.

Dr. Irvine was born February 8, 1915, in Iowa, the son of Rev. Howard C. and Lavina Greer Irvine. He was reared in the Birmingham Community where his father was pastor of Birmingham Presbyterian Church for a number of years.

He married Kathyrn Stull of Birmingham, who survives. Other survivers(err) include a son, James Irvine, Kalamazoo, Michigan; a daughter, Judy Ann Jorgensen, Richboro, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; a brother, Walter Irvine of Illinois, and a sister, Margaret Keswick of Colorado.

Services were held at Highland Park on August 15, and burial services were held on August 16, in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
