ROBERT EDWARD MARSHALL

Robert Edward Marshall, son of Robert and Lucille Davidson Marshall was born April 17, 1898 near Brookneal, Virginia and departed this life Wednesday, August 10, 1983 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, at the age of 85.

On December 20, 1919 he married Lucy Pulliam at Brookneal. She preceded him in death in 1973. Two sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.

Survivors: a daughter, Barbara Hill, Fairfield, and three grandchildren, Brian, Valerie and Susan Hill, all of Fairfield.

Mr. Marshall lived in Virginia, Maryland and Ohio, moved to Iowa in 1978, and had lived in Vernon near Keosauqua the past three years.

He was a retired builder and real-estate developer. He was a member of the West Lynchburg, Virginia Baptist Church and attended the Bentonsport United Methodist Church, near his home.

Funeral services and burial were in Youngstown, Ohio's Forest Lawn Cemetery. A memorial was established for the Fairfield Public Library.
