PEARL BRUMM

Pearl Brumm, 90, of Rock Island, Illinois, a former Mediapolis resident, died Saturday, July 23, 1983 in a Rock Island hospital.

She was born May 2, 1983 in Kewanee, Illinois to Andrew and Margaret Atkinson Burgess. She married Glen Bailey in Kewanee on June 24, 1915; he died April 2, 1950. She married Clayton Brumm October 17, 1954; he died April 3, 1965.

Mrs. Brumm was a retired school teacher; a member of the Mediapolis United Presbyterian Church and the Kings Daughters Association.

Surviving: three daughters, Margaret Hackley, Rock Island, Mrs. Evert Teeter, Bonaparte, and Mrs. Charles Katzenburger, LeClair; a son, Robert Bailey, Davenport; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Fry Chapel in Mediapolis with Rev. Aaron Koskamp officiating. Burial was in Kossuth Cemetery.
