Michael D. Hetzler

Last rites for Michael Dee Hetzler of Fort Madison were held on Saturday, July 9, 1983 at the King-Lynk Funeral Home with Rev. M.C. Johnson officiating.

Hetzler was killed early Thursday, July 7, 1983 in a car-truck accident.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1954 in For Madison and was a lifelong resident there. He was a 1982 graduate of the Fort Madison High School and was a member of the Madison Baptist Church. He was employed by Wenke's Service Station.

Surviving are his father, Donald L. Hetzler, Fort Madison; his mother, Mrs. Betty Pierce Bowers, Houston, Texas; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dee Megrath, Keosauqua; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Burden, Cedar Rapids; paternal great grandmother, Blanche Hetzler, Redding, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Laurie Ann) Chambers and Mrs. David (Tamara Lynn) Noland, both of Luling, Texas.
